Quick Launch, how I love thee
Windows 7 is not too bad, as a client OS goes. But I've really been missing the Quick Launch toolbar. It's seemingly been replaced with a "pin to taskbar" feature, which is OK, I guess, but NOT the Quick Launch. I've been living with this for a few days, but it really is nothing more than an annoyance.
Yay, then, for this article, which describes how to reinstate the Quick Launch toolbar in Win7. I am so happy now!

Wow. They got rid of the quick launch bar? One of the great things that worked well in Windows?Well, for the moment I am hanging with XP SP3. Don't change what works.
Of course, I just bought two sets of Record carbon 10speed ergos, so I am not exactly a cutting edge kinda guy...

Actually, the Quick Launch bar is a component of Internet Explorer! If memory serves me correctly, it was first introduced with IE4. I don't know why it's not enabled out of the box with Win7. My guess is they wanted people to use the "pin to taskbar" feature instead. Meh!
